Private tutor in Duluth, MN
Education
I was originally going for a Surgical Technician Associate's Degree, but recently undecided. Although I know I would like a Science/Health Associate Degree. I have previous Personal Care Aide experience which I absolutely loved. I will be a Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide in March. Duluth Central high school cumulative GPA 3.4 on 4.0 scale Most recent Undergraduate cumulative GPA at Lake Superior College is 3.2 on 4.0 scale. I have never failed a class, gotten a D on a report card, or a C as a final grade (except for one class).
Experience
I have not had formal tutoring experience, but during high school and college, other students would frequently ask me to explain things to them. In last semesters Anatomy & Physiology 2 course, I was part of a study group. If you would like, I can provide their information for references. I would like to be a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping people and love to see when things click into place for them. I have effective techniques for note-taking, flashcards, memory hooks, and breaking problems down into steps, that haven't failed me yet. In high school I took Anatomy/Physiology, Chemistry, Biology, Algebra 1&2, and Geometry. In college I have taken A&P 1&2, Biology of Women, and Medical Terminology. Classes I'm currently taking are; Aspects of Chemistry, CNA/HHA, and Forensic Biology. I averaged a C in Chemistry but loved the class. The rest I averaged A's or B's and loved them too.
