I was a T.A. for a math class in high school and helped my peers in class. I also have a brother that is a sophomore in high school that I have helped with class work.In high school I took all upper division math classes including honors geometry, honors algebra, honors math, trig, and A.P. calculus. In the A.P. calc I passed the test to receive college credit. At UMD I have completed a probability and statistics class. For science classes I completed general chemistry 1 and 2 at UMD, organic chemistry 1, and am currently in organic chemistry 2. I also took chemistry as a PSEO student in high school. I have finished my 2 general biology classes and am now studying biology in more depth with classes such as genetics and ecology. I graduated from my high school in the top 5% of my class and a gpa of 3.94. I want to be a tutor because I have always enjoyed helping people. I understand that a complete education is one of the most important achievements in a persons life, and not understanding material makes that achievement seem impossible. I myself have used a tutors help at college, and it is one of the greatest way to help a person. I enjoy helping others with math and sciences because it is something I have always excelled at.
