I have a 4.0 GPA at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. I have tutored students in various types of writing and journalism at Eden Prairie High School. Completed many advanced placement courses in high school including AP political courses (United States, Russia, Iran, Mexico, Nigeria, China and the United Kingdom), AP Biology, AP Anatomy and AP Physiology. As a student writer, I wrote for the Eyrie Newspaper (Eden Prairie High School) for two years while simultaneously operating as their business and advertising manager, nominated finalist for best sports story by the National Scholastic Press Association, I have written numerous articles for the student newspapers at the University of Minnesota and the University of Nebraska, and I am also the youngest applicant to ever be accepted into Bleacher Report's Writing Academy and Internship (Bleacher Report is the 4th largest sports news source in the world). As a freshman business student, I won a school-wide stock exchange simulation by increasing my "net-worth" by over 800%. My freshman year of college I was enrolled in a junior level literature course, which I passed, and alongside my english courses, I have taken and passed economics, astronomy, geology and computer tech and science courses. I would like to be a tutor because I really enjoy writing and business and every single aspect of it. I feel that I have the ability to not just tell students how to be a better writer, but to show them how to become a better writer by writing alongside them and showing them examples. I also think that being a 20-year-old college student helps me relate to students and the types of issues they are having, whether it be psychological, academic or personal.
