Experience

I was a tutor for science and math classes during my Junior and Senior year at Spooner High School. I enjoy helping others and would love to help others get interested in the broad subject of science. I took the ACT and received a composite score of 25, but received a 28 in the Science category. As I said, I am a transfer student from Lac Courte Orielles Ojibwe Community College in Hayward, Wisconsin. While at LCO Community College, I took a broad range of science courses including Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Hydrology, and Ecology. I finished with a GPA of 3.92 and made the Dean's List one semester and the President's Honor List the other. While attending Spooner High School, I took honor level classes in physics, biology, chemistry, geography,and psychology. While attending LCO Community College, I took 1st place in a Native American National Science Bowl Competition against all other tribal colleges in the country. I have always loved science, and I see this as a great way to not only share the wonders of understanding science related studies, but also finding out if I would someday enjoy being a High School Chemistry teacher.

Hobbies

In my spare time, I like to do a broad range of activities. I am a competitive weight lifter, and I can be found in the gym lifting weights during most of my spare time. When I am not in the gym, I like to go swimming and walk along the beach looking for cool rocks to study and shards of beach glass. I have always loved Lake Superior and some day hope to work for a restoration project in hopes that we can save it for future generations. I am also a big football fan and very much enjoy watching NFL and NCAA games as well as playing catch and other football pickup games.
